Schulers Restaurant

The Client: Schuler’s Restaurant & Pub

Project Description: The Schuler’s Restaurant website has gone through several iterations since Online Architecture began its work nearly a decade ago. Once a predominantly static site, the latest version of the site, launched in 2009, features many dynamic elements. The homepage opens with a rich flash presentation that gives users a taste of the sights and ambiance of the century-old establishment, a fixture of historic Marshall, Mich.

Guests to the site can read about Schuler’s history, view menus and peruse the schedule of upcoming events. One of the most popular features on the site is the reservation function. Hundreds of users each year schedule reservations using the Schuler’s site, booking in advance for the restaurant’s Thanksgiving Day Feast and New Year’s Eve celebration.

Online Architecture has teamed with Schuler’s to develop an administrative area for staff. In this password-protected section of the site, administrators can update selected site content, upload new menus and download reservation and gift certificate purchase details. In previous years, Online Architecture also assisted with developing a series of e-mail marketing pieces and distributing them to a mailing list of more than 2,500.

Currently, Online Architecture is working with the restaurant to integrate new media elements on the site. An employee-only area is also being developed, where staff can sign in and obtain information scheduling information, as well as other resources.
